Founder & Principal Designer
Camila Restrepo
Founder of Prim Miami. Camila designs the evening backwards — from the feeling a guest should carry home into floor plan, light and flowers.
Camila started Prim Miami in 2015 after eleven years between hotel banqueting and a New York production house, frustrated that the most expensive events she worked on were the least memorable ones.
Her method has not changed since: write one sentence describing how the night should feel, then refuse every decision that does not answer to it. Floor plans come before palettes. Sightlines come before centrepieces. The budget is a design document, not an afterthought.
She keeps the studio to twelve events a season so she is in the room on the day rather than on a phone, and she still draws every floor plan by hand before anyone opens a rendering file.
